Founder Advice
“Chains of habit are too light to be felt until they are too heavy to be broken.” – Warren Buffett
You see this theme of self-perpetuating momentum in the stories of most, if not all successful founders. They have an extreme focus on frameworks and processes and are constantly self-critical of those they put in place. I reflect on this with every decision I make as well – often it seems easier to allow an exception to the process in the short term but its those tiny exceptions that end up creating the worst self-reinforcing loops. Taking the time to do it right in the short term has been critical to any long term success I’ve experienced.
