Interview with Sidharth Jain
“My only advice to young entrepreneurs is ”Keep moving until you achieve your dreams”. There will be difficult times in the initial but you need not stop there, believe in yourself and put all your efforts into making your life. .” – Sidharth Jain
Today we feature Sidharth :Jain, the founder at GraffersID. We hear their story in their own words, their successes, their challenges and their insights.
Let’s start by getting to know you. Can you please tell us a little bit about you and what you do?
I am Sidharth Jain, a small-town boy from Barwah which is 60 km far from Indore. I am fond of coding and learning new technologies.
I started my own company – GraffersID, in 2017 intending to increase the startup’s success rate. We provide mobile and web development services to customers who are looking forward to growing their business.
A great introduction and start to this interview. Can you please tell us, how did you start, from what age, and what made you decide to change direction and start?
Starting with my college days in Mumbai, I was not as good at communicating with people in English which made me uncomfortable, but my passion for learning programming languages helped me to grow. After completing college, I got placed in a very well-known IT company at that time and within 6 months my team got impressed with my work and technical knowledge.
But, that was not enough for me, I quit the job because of the repetitive work on the same technologies.
While working in MNCs, I had a word with one of my colleagues who told me his problem regarding his no growth rate even after launching a product for 6 months. There and then, I decided to start my own company with the mission of increasing the startup’s success rate and working on rising technologies.
Thank you for that insight. So can you tell us…What does your business do and where is your company based?
GraffersID is a website and mobile application development company based in Indore, India. It was established in the year 2017, with the aim of increasing the startup success rate. Our company’s mission is to provide high-quality development services.
What’s the story behind your success? What led to your aha moment? how did you get to where you are now?
We all know the quote ” Success is not given, it is learned”. So the reason behind my success is I never stopped learning. I fall many times while stepping toward my career. Some people mocked me because of my poor communication skills, then there were my friends who helped me in gaining technical knowledge.
I never gave up whatsoever the situation was. I always believed in myself and with faith in myself, I started an entrepreneurial journey. The initial stages were tough and that was not new to me because I was mentally prepared. But gradually we had 100+ employees within a few years and that was a success for me.
Also, I cannot forget the day when our first project came from the client with whom I have worked before but due to the late delivery of the project, he had to shut down his business. Later, the same client gave me the very first project of GraffersID because of my dedication and passion for work.
Thank you for sharing that. What’s been your life’s biggest lesson so far?
Challenges are a part of life and overcoming those challenges is a life-winning moment. Before coming to any solution, I first analyze the problem and then try to find a better solution for making the product-market fit.
I have gone through this situation earlier and all I learned was to build happy relations with clients and gain their trust by delivering timely and quality products.
I think my entrepreneurial journey till now taught me a lot. I always look forward to taking valuable lessons from my past experiences. This helped me in acknowledging the areas where I lacked and where I have to bring change both professionally and personally.
If you were to go back in time, what piece of advice would you give to your younger self?
We cannot shut others’ mouths, or cannot stop them from talking bad behind our back. The least we can do is to focus on your goals and chase the purpose of your goal. Do not stop yourself from learning and experimenting.
Everything comes up with two solutions, either keep going until and unless you won’t reach your goal or give up in the starting. The former will help you in achieving success and the latter will lead to failure. Now, it is your call how you want your life to be.
We’re nearly halfway through our interview so it’s a great time to ask how does your business run. What three tools make your business run better?
The three most important tools for running our business smoothly are Trello, Skype, and Loom.
I will highly recommend Trello Board for team management, this tool keeps you updated about your team’s daily tasks and progress.
Skype is used by us for making communication easy.
During Covid-19, it was difficult to communicate with team members remotely thus, we started using Skype for meetings and communicating via calls and messages.
Loom helps you to record your screen which can be further shared with other team members. It is the easiest way of visually demonstrating the development process to your team members.
What do you know now that you wished you had known before?
I think my entrepreneurial journey till now taught me a lot. I always look forward to taking valuable lessons from my past experiences. This helped me in acknowledging the areas where I lacked and where I have to bring change both professionally and personally.
What has been your greatest or proudest achievement or moment?
My dream was to help the startups to grow and aware as many people about the rising technologies. And, 80% of startups who worked with us are successful. This is my biggest achievement. And, I am a proud CEO and Founder of GraffersID, the IT Company I established to aid as many startups as I can.
What future life goals do you want to achieve and why?
Our company initially provided consulting support and gradually, we changed it into high demanding tech company.
My future goal is to create startups with different development phases till the time it is financially and technically settled.
To finish our inspire questions…”We believe that sharing inspiring words can inspire others.” If there was one positive thing you would say to someone to inspire and empower them what would it be and why?
My only advice to young entrepreneurs is ”Keep moving till the time you don’t achieve what you dreamt of”. There will be difficult times in the initial but you need not stop there, believe in yourself, and put all your efforts into making your life.
